THE REGISTRATION OF ELECTORS (PRESCRIBED AGE) SPECIAL ACT

Act 11 of 1972
1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the Registration of Electors (Prescribed Acts) Special Act.

2 Interpretation

In this Act-

"Constitution" means the Constitution of Jamaica;

"prescribed age", relates to the expression as used in section 37 of the Constitution.

3 Alteration of prescribed age
The prescribed age for the purposes of section 37 of the Constitution shall be eighteen years instead of twenty-one years.
